Contracts Signed for Texas Main Street Capital Fund Grant Construction

Downtown Sidewalk Update
The contracts are signed between the builder and the City to commence work on the sidewalks under the Texas Main Street Capital Fund CDBG Grant. The pre-construction meeting was held online Monday and the work is scheduled to begin on May 26 just after the holiday at area one as shown in the pictures. The second area will be next, and the two will likely be going at the same time once activity ramps up when work starts. We do not yet have the schedule for all the work, but it will be posted on the City website as soon as we have it.
The project also includes a good amount of handrails on Columbia between Harrison and Montgomery. Please be patient with the traffic and mess during construction.
